Barely (as the host is known) puts out a new show about once a week and the episodes run for close to half an hour each. The audio quality of this podcast is decent without being exceptional, however the production values of the show need some work. It is not always clear (from the point of view of a new listener) what the show is about and the sequencing of the show was not always logical. At times Barely did not spend enough time and give enough detail in his stories but would happily spend 5-10 minutes discussing listener feedback and detailing the many different ways that listeners could contribute to the show.
The stories that Barely told in the three episodes that I listened to centred around Barely’s home and work life. Some examples of stories told include: annoying neighbours, annoying co-workers, a Greek wedding and Bar Barely went to and how his office space at work was being refurbished. These stories were not funny in a laugh aloud way, however Barely is clearly a passionate guy and his enthusiasm was passed on through these stories. I feel that Barely needs to work more on his storytelling style to make the stories more interesting and detailed as the stories are essentially the main part of the show.
